as a direct response to the growing poverty and critical skills shortage in the agricultural sector in Africa.

Johann is an Agricultural Economist and commercial farmer with more than 39 years of experience in agricultural training and development. Johann is the founder of Agri-pedia and the International Agricultural Academy for Africa.

HANS HEINZE
Chief Operating Officer

Hans is a retired Brig. General. As an experienced leader, he established Garcias for Africa in 2011, a personal development company specialising in the βnature of thoughtβ and practical and effective leadership programmes for youth and people working in the agricultural sector.

ChanΓ© earned her B. Com in Business Management and Finance. She is a dynamic young CFO who handles business finance, administration, and HR-related matters with energy and a fresh perspective.

Elsa is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in design, photography, editing, and business development. She creates user-friendly, visually appealing educational content, using her expertise to enhance the learning experience. Theda has over 17 years of experience in marketing, sales, advertising, admin, communications, and staff management. She handles digital and direct marketing and sales. She is also the co-owner of Garcias for Africa, a company offering practical leadership programs for youth and the agricultural sector.

STEPH CRAFFORT ESTERHUIZEN

Steph holds a BSc in Forensic Science and an Honours in Forensic Genetics. She has experience in education and peer tutoring. She manages i3Aβs Content and Research Department, overseeing the development of curriculum materials, assessments, manuals, and academic videos.

John has 22 years of postgraduate experience in facilitating and assessing Agricultural Learnerships and Skills Programs. He coordinates facilitators and venues for training support.

MOSEKI MOLEBATSI
Manager: Quality Management and Assessment

Moseki holds a National Certificate in Media Consultancy and a B Agric Hons in Animal Production. With experience in Training Administration, he manages the Quality Management System (QMS), overseeing assessments, moderation, qualification confirmation, certification, training reports, POE archives, and E-Learning close-out reports.

Isaac is an experienced videographer and video director with eight years in the field. He assists in video editing and content creation courses and supports all video-related tasks at Agri-pedia Productions.

LEHMAN LINDEQUE
Chairperson
Lehman is an independent agro-environmental consultant with over 30 years of experience and a Master’s in Environmental Studies from the University of Newcastle, Australia. He worked for 26 years as an Agricultural Resource Monitoring Specialist at the South African Department of Agriculture and managed Sustainable Land Management projects for the UNDP for 6 years. Now a full-time livestock farmer, he also offers part-time consultancy focused on responsible land stewardship and productivity enhancement.

HENDRIK KAY
Co-opted Director
Hendrik is an experienced Project Manager with international expertise. He is focused and goal-driven, known for his strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and leadership. With a background in both public and private sectors, he has successfully developed business opportunities and shares insights with the next generation.

PHILIP DU PREEZ
Director: Agri Innovasie Kollege
Phillip is the Director of the Agri-Innovasie Kollege. As a former agricultural teacher at Morgenzon Agricultural Academy, he is also a successful mega-farmer with more than 45 years of experience in farming as a business. Phillip farms at the Uitkomst farm in the Morgenzon district.

STEFAN JORDAAN
General Manager: Vine Academy and Model Farm
Stefan is an experienced agricultural specialist with over 15 years in plant production, viticulture, and strategic agricultural development. He is the Senior Agri Specialist at Raisins South Africa and will become the General Manager at Vine Academy and Model Farm in January 2025.

JACQUES VAN RENSBURG
National Training Manager Ruminants: MSD Animal Health
Jacques graduated in Agricultural Science in 1990 and became a Veterinary Technologist in 1994. With over 20 years in the animal health industry, he is the national training manager at MSD, where he develops a new training department.

FANIE CRONJE
Director: Wes-Kaap Landbou Akademie
Fanie is a political risk analyst and business development officer with expertise in intelligence, entrepreneurship, and media. He holds a degree in Political Science and currently works with Approach Profit Managers, offering political insights and creating content for RSG and KykNET.

ELZET LABUSCHAGNE
Director: The Outpost Wildlife Academy
Elzet is a qualified attorney with expertise in conveyancing, contract law, and legal advisory services. Formerly a partner at Combrink Greyling in Nelspruit, she now leads financial, legal, and marketing roles for private enterprises. Currently, she directs The Outpost Wildlife Academy in Dullstroom.
